4 Types of Photos Every Business Needs for their Brand
The headshot (The Who you are)
A headshot is a well know business photo essential that pretty much everyone is familiar with. Solid background headshots will get the point across just fine for more corporate style businesses, but for the solo entrepreneur a lifestyle headshot can also make a connection. It is important to have consistency with headshots for your team to create a sense of unity and connection in the business. These photos are a great way to update your social profile photos, website “about me” or “meet our team” pages!
The Customer Interaction (The Who you do it for)
If you are a service-based business, this is a perfect way to showcase how it is you interact with your clients! It can be as simple as photos of you talking on the phone, emailing on a laptop or even speaking to a client in person (model in this instance).
The Action (The What it is you do)
These photos are my favorite kind to do, because they are the most creative out of all the types of photos I mention in this blog. Showcasing what you do through a series of images is going to set you apart from the competition because they showcase your unique processes. Offer a service lots of others don’t usually offer? Do something in a way others haven’t seen before? These are the photos that will do all the talking for you, plus, they make great “stock photos” for service pages without having to use lots of copy.
The location (The Where)
Where it’s a studio, home office, or building you should always have photos of the space that the magic takes place! (unless you are a business that is constantly on the move aka a photographer). Think of how difficult it would be buying a home if you could only see photos of it from the outside, you want to create an inviting atmosphere for your potential clients! Plus, they will know what to expect when arriving at your location providing them with a sense of comfortability and familiarity.
